is something many of us struggle to face in our pursuit to find true ourselves. I believe this is rooted in the fact that we have to search the darkest parts of our souls to really find where we have been hiding. In that process, we may run into some versions of ourselves that we don’t like or didn’t realize existed. I have struggled with fear for years and it has stunted my growth as a person, specifically as a creative. refusing to share my work in fear of the criticism that may come along. After years of hiding, I have decided to turn fear into fuel and this concept of bourbon is just one representation of that decision.

Inspired by Kendrick Lamar’s institutionalized from his second album “To Pimp A Butterfly” which was launched in 2015. The original line, “shit don’t change until you get up and wash your ass.” has stayed on my mind since the moment I heard it. The comical yet captivating saying has consistently motivated me in times of struggle. many people complain about some of the things they struggle with while often the solution is simply to get up and make shit happen.
